about

M A G I C K C O L O R V I S I O N Q U E S T - a spin wheel of colors, like rubbing your eyes on a hot summer sunny day. Two spaced out instrumental tracks featuring Devin Dart's insane style of drumming and intriguing slew of other instruments that seem to gallant across a water color style canvass. A dreamer's dream, a reverie of light, a sound experiment a la make believe bombs, fuzzy and distorted. Limited to 22 on c13 orange tapes.

Art: Julia bought some twine from Ikea. Ideally it was to wrap Christmas presents. Devin Dart of Make Believe Bombs sent over some orange tint cassettes for this release. Unfortunately its not pictured, but Justin and Julia took some sticker labels and colored them the color of the rainbow and applied them to the cassettes. Orange tint cassette with rainbow labels... it was interesting to say the least. Justin searched online for the perfect color wheel, one that looked like it was hand done, maybe someone would think we actually did it ourselves. We didn't. We used Google Image Search. It was great. Justin then used the ancient technique of Adobe Photoshop to put the artist and album title on the color wheel. We printed it on a heavier card stock and cut it in a circle. Using the ancient method of "folding" Justin folded the circle around the tape and used twine to fasten it together. I cannot recall if an insert was included or not. It was completely simplistic and probably did not do the justice the tape deserved. In fact, I think this may have been one of our worst ideas and yet I think Dart was ok with that.
